Before the stream
What are you learning in this chapter When usually starting a streaming session a lot of people show up directly with the streaming equipment, understanding the basics of linux-audio, but forget completely that a successful streaming session has to be prepared also very well with the "locals", the people which are just at the location before and who know basically the surrounding much better than one self.

What is also often overseen, is that the techique needs a propper place to be set up. Here the basics like table, chairs and silence in the room are most important. In this chapter you should become aware of all these specific topics, which are easyly overseen and got forgotten even by experienced people.

You will learn

  • to ask the locals the right questions
  • to care on your own, which stuff has to be brought with you
  • to foresee specific problems and to be prepared for an alternative solution
  • how to optimize the preparation time at a new place
